Recently, in August 2009 the Crescent Head Boardriders Inc, and DBNSW hosted the bi-annual surfing competition where surfers from all over Australia, including Deaf Boardriders Queensland competed in various events.

Our Queensland team had a lovely time surfing and enjoyed the competition.

Deaf Boardriders Queensland Results:

• Carl Hanson - 4th Short Board
• Ben Bradbury - 3rd Body Board
• Jason Callaghan - 4th Body Board

The competition will be held every 2nd year. Family and friends came to watch and enjoyed the weekend. Some stayed at Crescent Heads for up to three weeks, holidaying and practicing prior to the competition.
