Objectives

The objects for which the association is established are -

To promote Deaf sport, recreational and social activities for Deaf people and people with hearing impairment in Queensland in a way to enhance their self worth and quality lifestyle.
To advocate for social justice and equity for, and encourage integration in wider society for the Deaf people and people with hearing impairment in sport, recreation and full community participation.
To provide consultative, information and a referral service for its members and clients.
To act as a peak body for its members with regard to recreation, social and sporting issues and to act as a liaison body with the Governments and other peak bodies for funding, policy development, legislation and industry training.
To develop, gather and provide information regarding Deaf sport, recreation and community activities and to publish a regular newsletter for all members. It also exists to create a greater public awareness of Deaf Sports and Recreation in Queensland.
To provide public education, training and skills enhancement to its members in areas of administration, leadership and sport and recreational skills.
To promote Sports and Recreation for the junior through school based program and training camp.
To organise school and state championship and assist, when required, in national sports championship.
