Tug-of-war at Deaf Sports Day 2009DSRQ is the peak organisation for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Sports in Queensland. There are 11 Deaf Sporting Clubs and 2 Social Clubs affiliated with DSRQ. You can also find out about any recent activities through our events callendar and catch up on the latest news in the community.

DSRQ is currently working with a number of state organisations to improve services for Deaf and Hearing Impaired here in Queensland.

We also have a monthly newsletter, Deaf News. DSRQ has also worked with QAD (Queensland Association of the Deaf) to set up the Brisbane Deaf Club which is on every two months.

DSRQ Is also planing to set up a Deaf Swimming Competition for all Deaf and Hearing Impaired students in Queensland.

DSRQ Regional Tour

DSRQ regional tour for DAW (Disability Action Week)   - Wide Bay Area 6th September - 10th September

We will be on the road to Bundaberg via Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay as part of Disability Action Week. We have been invited to be part of DAW in Bundaberg at PCYC from 9.30 am til 2.30 pm. We will do various activities and we will also have an information booth which we will share with Deaf Australia. Brad, DSRQ's Sports Development Officer, will conduct some sports activities for everyone to participate.
