Meet every 2-3 weeks each month. Meeting venues variable, including social events.
Bare Foot Lawn Bowls usually helds after the AGM every year. We also organise this activites twice or three times a year. If you want to join us for fun games of lawn bowls, please contact Barrie or Reg for the dates or check their calendar.
Local Lawn Bowls Clubs:
Most of our players are invovled in their local clubs such as Salisbury, Mareeba and Sunshine Coast. If you want to join Deaf Lawn Bowls team in your local area, please contact Reg Flanagan or Barrie Knapton.
Australian Deaf Games Melbourne 2012
If you are interested to be invovled in Lawn Bowls for the next Australian Deaf Games. We encourage you to continue playing at your local club or join with our club in Brisbane. Please contact Julie Lyons (State Administrator) - DSRQ for the details of Australian Deaf Game or contact Reg for your name in for Queensland Team.
The next Australian Deaf Games will be held in Geelong. The duration of the games usually up to 10 days.
National Competitions:
The next National Deaf Bowls will be held at Lockleys in Adelaide in 2010 during the Easter long weekend. If you are intersted to participate in this National competition, please contact Queensland Deaf Lawn Bowls Association for further information.
International Deaf Lawn Bowls Championships:
6th International Deaf Lawn Bowls Championships helds every year in different locations around the world. The next World Deaf Lawn Bowls Championship will be held on 4th April, 2011 in Perth. It is very exciting to have the World Deaf Lawn Bowls Championship in our country.

Lawn Bowls Queensland - Sport Connect:
Queensland Deaf Lawn Bowls Association is still working partnership with Lawn Bowls Queensland as part of Sport Connect. Lawn Bowls Queensland is one of the State Sporting Organisations in Queensland.
Both QDBA and LBQ have organised a regular meeting every 3 months to develop a better understanding of people with disabilities in Lawn Bowling. QDBA provide some ideas what is the best accessbile for deaf bowlers so that Lawn Bowls Queensland can develop a better access for deaf bowlers in Queensland.
Come and Try Out Day:
QDBA has organised a fun social activities for everyone to try out a game of Lawn Bowls. We will organise a special activitiy for Deaf Youth Group. We are hoping to have organise this on 6th November 2010 at Alderley Lawn Bowls Club. This program is inconjunction with Deaf Youth Group organised by Junior Sports Development Officer - Brad Schofield.
We want to encourge more deaf young people to be involved in Queensland Deaf Lawn Bowls to keep our club to continue for the next generation of the Deaf community.
Deaf or hearing impaired young athletes are welcome to play for Queensland team for the next Australia Deaf Games. We have seen many young people who are now playing Lawn Bowls at Commonweath Games or Olympic Games. We want this happening to our deaf young people too.
