Sydney Trip

On the 8th April 2009, 20 Deaf Seniors left Brisbane for Sydney. We were all very excited and looking forward to going on the bus which took us to Casino NSW from which we caught a train for Sydney. We all had a great time on the train but it was a sleepless night as the seats were not very comfortable to sleep on!
We arrived in Sydney in the morning and after dropping our luggage off at the motel we toured Circular Quay. We also went on a boat cruise which was not too bad.
During our 10 day stay we had a wonderful time touring around Sydney, we even went to Luna Park, Paddy's Markets and Taronga Zoo. We visited Katoomba in the Blue Mountains where we saw the Three Sisters. It was a fabulous place with the beautiful view of the mountains. We even went on a chair lift ride and saw the beautiful views!!
We visited Martin Place, Sydney where Channel 7 film Sunrise. Some of our group were on TV waving to the camera. Their families saw them live on TV while Larry Emdur was on it.
We all went to Burwood Deaf club and there was a crowd inside of 138 Deaf  people that day! We had a mishap while we were in Sydney! We got lost looking for the place where we wanted to go. We went to Manly Beach too. Ooh!! There was so much to see there! We had a good laugh and fun there. Came home on the 17th April. We were all so tired but it was a good experience for us all to remember!! Good time, fun, joking and laughing!!!
