Trip to Australia Zoo and Parliament House

On 15th September we the members of Brisbane Deaf Senior Citizens Association, caught the bus to Australia Zoo. We left at 8am. When we got there we were all excited to be at Australia Zoo. We had a lovely morning tea there then went to the "Crocseum" to watch the action of birds flying and crocodiles. It was very good. Later we went for a walk to look at other animals around there. We had a lovely lunch then went home. It was tiring but we enjoyed the day.

On the 7th September saw at Parliament House where the politics sitting about 60 or 70 Deafies went there to watch Anna Bligh telling about Traveston Dam, Gold Coast, Commonwealth Games etc and she even welcome Deaf people with her sign language. Also the speaker did the sign language to welcome us there and then had a lovely morning tea after watching them. We also had a tour inside the building. Had a good day there.
