History of our Club
Our Bowling Club was formed 28 years ago.
We get members through our Deaf Sports and Recreation of Queensland Inc. (QSRQ), they do a lot of research and advertising through Schools where the Deaf / Hearing Impaired and Cochlear Implantee Children attend, promoting the varies sports we have, and verbally through friends.
We have a regular number of 5 to 10 players both men and women competing at their own bowling centres, some plays 2 to 3 times a week.
Committee Members Roles and Responsbilities:
- President chairs the meetings,
- Vice President takes over if president is not available.
- Secretary acts between President and outside communications,
- Treasurer looks after all the financial side of Tenpin Bowling.
If you are interested to be part of this club, you are very welcome to be on the board management. Please let us about your interest or skills that you can offer for our club. Membership:
Membership fee per annum payable to the Treasurer of QDTBA Inc.
COST $25.00
Is open to all bona-fide Deaf / Hearing Impaired / Cochlear Implantee Bowlers and must be a member of T.B.A.L.
The membership covers the Affiliation fees with Deaf Sports Recreation Queensland (DSRQ), and also affiliation fees with Australian Deaf Tenpin Bowling Association (ADTBA) this allows people to participate with the Australian Deaf Games and also Deaflympics.
We also have an associated membership, they pay $10.00. They do not bowl, but love to join us with our functions and fundraising.
