Australian Deaf Games

Every four years the Deaf Sports Australia runs Australian Deaf Games where they have several sports competing against each state.

We have AUSTRALIAN DEAF TENPIN BOWLING ASSOCIATION INC.

They look after the selections and liaison with Deaf Sports Australia.

We select two teams of one women's and one men's for Tenpin Bowling, we do have some very good players, we select our players with care, they must have patience, and cooperation  to work in a team.

Most of the players who are selected are players who can get time off from work and who can afford to go and play.

Our Achievements are to keep going and to make the players happy 100% in all areas within Tenpin Bowling and Socially.

Within our Tenpin Bowling Club, we are a close knit family, we help each other as much as possible, any way we can, we do personal counselling, general help, advising in varies ways for jobs, money, children.

All members are treated equally.

Deaflympics

We had a men and women's team playing in the World Deaf Games (now called Deaflympics) in Rome 2001, these players were selected voluntary to go and play, paying out of their own pocket the expenses of airfares etc.
